All the lyrics are growled and distorted, with more clarity and emotion during the choruses... the tracks all sound a bit the same... but it's an exciting style to have 13 tracks of!
Lyrically Funker Vogt don't really say anything... but the overall atmosphere and endless beats signify that it's not the lyrics you're supposed to be listening to!
There are some ambient areas, few and far between, with quick build ups and good sampling.
There's one annoying this about this CD... each track starts with the same sampled electronic voice that says "Execution" and then says the track number. By the time you get to "Execution nine" the sample will annoy you! But that's a small price to pay for better than average industrial dance album.
Similar to... "Shrieks, Laments and Anguished Cries" by Razed In Black (but more techno than them) and similar to Wumpscut's standard dance material (but more consistent and without Wumpscut's amazing samples and scariness). |
