ACAP Preseparation Briefing

Public Law 102-484 (1995) requires that all separating military personnel receive a briefing concerning their benefits no later than 90 days prior to your separation date. The law further requires that a record of that briefing be made and that record be filed in your personnel record before separation from the military service. DD Form 2648 is the document used to accomplish this requirement.

As you prepare to separate, there are probably many questions going through your mind. The preseparation briefing is designed to provide guidance concerning your benefits and how the government can assist you in having a smooth transition. Listed below are areas covered in the briefing as well as the service providers for areas in the northeast.
