From Thoth To Ba'al In A Few Easy Steps:

From Wikpedia under Baal:
" 'Ba'al' can refer to any god and even to human officials... "
" Ba'al is a Judeo-Christian demon."

When I saw my first image from a Thoth Tarot, it was the prince of disks. Here is the image:

The "Prince of Disks"
(from the Thoth Tarot by Allistair Crowley)

The image looks suspiciously like other depictions I've seen of MITHRAS, so I typed Prince of Disks and Mithras into Google. Here is the chain of names that unraveled. They are ALL Sun Gods or directly related to the Sun God.

Mithras in the Tauroctony

"Mithras, from The Book of Thoth by Alistair Crowley

Early astronomers calculated that the Sun took 360 days to go round the Zodiac.

This was a closely guarded secret of the learned; so they concealed it in the divine name Mithras, which adds up, according to the Greek Convention (M 40---I 10---Th. 9---R 100---A 1---S 200) to 360.
Better observation showed 365 days to be more accurate; so they decided to call it "Abraxas" (A 1---B 2---R 100---A 1---X 6o---A 1---S 200). When the others found this out they put themselves right by altering the spelling of Mithras to Meithras, which adds (like Abraxas) to 365.

In this there is still an error of not quite six hours; so that, in the course of centuries, the Calendar kept slipping. It did not assume its present form until the time of Pope Gregory."

"Abraxas, also known as Abrasax, is a Gnostic solar deity related to Mithras and the Celtic Belenus, as well as Yeshu (Jesus). The word Abraxas was first proposed by the Alexandrian Gnostic scholar Basilides. When the numerical values of the Greek letters in Abraxas are added together, the sum is 365, the number of days in a a solar year. "

(Note : Were it not for the actions of Mithran conspirators in the Early Church, Jesus' name would likely not have appeared in this list.)

Bile (or Bel), the Irish father-god of light, healing, and the Otherworld

Bile - Like Danu, Bile (or Bel) is one of the oldest deities, with many counterparts in other cultures. Because traditions developed independently, it can be difficult to determine Bile's actual history.

In a simple summary, Bile is the Irish god of the Otherworld, perhaps the husband of Danu, and therefore titular father of the Tuatha de Danann. In some traditions, he is called "the Father of Gods and Men." Bile, also spelled Bel, may be a sun-god, and he is linked to healing, warmth, and light. He is also a god of death, and accompanies souls to the Otherworld where he rules. He may be the god of Beltaine, or "the fires of Bel (Bile)."

Those who want to study Bile/Bel in more detail have a formidable task. For example, there are many alternative spellings, similar names, and possibly related gods/heroes: Apollo, Balan (in Mallory), Balar, Balar Birug-derc, Balin (in Mallory), Balor, Be'al, Beal, Beil, Belatucadrus, Belenos, Belenus, Beli, Beli the Great (king of Britain), Beli Mawr, Belinus, Bolur, Cunobelinus (king of Britain), Cymbelline (from Shakespeare's play), Grannos, Grannus, Grian, Grianainech (Oghma), Heli (transcription error in Geoffrey of Monmouth's history), Lugh, Moritasgus, Odin, Pelles.

I hope this has proved enlightening (or at least entertaining.)
