This was the 12th annual Odins Tattoo Show, but the first one I had attended. I drove up there with Craig, Shark, Darren and Heasion. What a bunch of louts. Mate, you have no idea
the amount of laughing, farting, drinking, swearing, and smoking went on in that car that day.
Anyway, we arrived at about midday, and went inside. There was a one man band entertaining all the early birds like ourselves.
We all registered for the competition, and taking down the names was our very own
Brad Demon. He tattooed all of us in the car plus about another 12 people at the show as well.
The judging started at about 2pm, and the very first tattoo up for judging was a "willy" tatt. LMAO.
The guy is up on stage and kinda pulls down the front of his jeans and you could just see the top of what looked like a gremlin.
Then he actually went all the way, and we all copped an eyeful of his willy...LOL Funny as hell.
I also go to meet an infamous Aussie tattooist, Don Johnson. He is reknown around Australia and the word for his art.
He was in a serious bike accident at the beginning of this year, and so far hasn't worked at all in 2001.
I will, however, have some work done by this marvellous artist sometime in the near future.
After many beers and many laughs, and many photos, the judging was over, and Craig, Shark and I had to leave.
I wish we could have stayed longer, but due to earlier plans, we had to leave.
We saw Brad the next day, and asked him how we all went. He said two of his customers were awdred with prizes. Oh yeah! The trophies at this show were fucking awesome
They were replicas of a 10th century battle axe, used by Vikings to split the skulls of christians!
Pretty fucking cool eh?
Anyway here's some of the photos from the Tattoo Show of 2001. Hopefully I'll go again next year. It's always a great day out. A tattoo show that is...hehehe
