Huddleston's Chicken Powder
Is composed of the most powerful tonics and egg-producing
foods, and is prepared from G. PERK HUDDLESTON'S private formula, under his
immediate supervision and care. While it acts as a specific cure for Cholera, Limber
Neck, Roupe and kindred diseases, it also acts as a sure preventative when used as
directed, likewise an antidote to lice and mites, if used regularly.
HUDDLESTON'S CHICKEN POWDER puts life and vigor in your flock giving them
red combs and beauty of plumage, while as an egg producer it is unequaled.
Give it a trial and you will use no other.

Have you ever heard of a Huddleston Hen? Well, here is the man
for which it is named. This is the front, back and sides of a
Huddleston's Chicken Powder container. The man pictured,
Granderson Perkins Huddleston, was born and lived in Wilson County Tennessee,
and was a renowned breeder of chickens. In addition to being well known
for his game chickens here in the United States, G. Perk's birds
were famous throughout Central and South America.
Granderson Perkins Huddleston was born in Wilson County 19 Dec
1824 and was the oldest son of George Augustus and Harriett
Saunders Cummings Huddleston. G. Perk was twice married, first to
Elizabeth J. Smith 17 Jan 1848, and second to Virginia Lewis. He
died 24 May 1907 and is buried in the Huddleston Cemetery located
at the intersection of US Highway 231 South and Flatwoods Road in
