- Welcome to IvanF's Shoe Box of Url Redirection Services! - @ tweakui.mycrowsoft.com -last updated August 14th, 2000 (started July 2000)

Y2kk Update: Okay, I was going to do this little hand guide half a year ago when I restarted my web-pages. I mean, I've been collecting redirection service names since God knows when. But the reason I make these guides is not only give some info back to the internet community (aww, ain't that sweet?), but to help myself (aw, ain't that sweet?... um...). I was looking for a website address that really personified who I was and what I wanted my page to do, and assasination.cjb.net was already taken. But that's when I found Smartredirect and mycrowsoft... You see, I have to thank Smartredirect for their creativity. Whenever I tell people that my site is at download dot microsoft dot com, they always blurt out something like "What the hell are you doing there?" or something like that. It's strangely satisfying come to think of it... But basically, I chose that name because I like pissing off Microsoft. They rip of me, I rip something off of them; not much, but it's a start. Well, I'm being a real pansy because I know they can't sue me or anything, and yet I still think I'm big and tough. But in all honesty, I respect Microsoft, no matter how much I bash them on these websites. As a computer user, I hate how they made Windows so full of bugs, rarely release bug fixes, killed DOS, and rip people off with never changing prices and worthless upgrades. But as I programmer, I feel sorry for them because they are unfairly blamed for hardware conflicts when it's so impossible to cater to everyone, they are constantly attacked by viruses and pissed off hackers, their reputation has been killed (well, by threatening other companies but we'll leave that out) and, um... uh, I guess that's it. Hmm... Well, nevermind. I'll just go back to hating them. It's always so much fun to follow the crowd...

IvanF, still the No-Name modder... um, sort of...

Some Tips to Piss Off the Advertisers:

Cloaking - I personally like cloaking; you see how it still says http://tweakui.mycrowsoft.com in the little url box in ______ your browser? That's because I'm hiding my real address with, well, the dumb one you're seeomg right now; it's ______ really easy to tell what my real address is (either look into my source code or open up one of my urls in a new ______ window, Victor...), but for most people, cloaking can be quite deceiving

______ - however, some web servers seem to hate cloaking because it covers up their precious little name and they get ______ all pissed off at me for not giving them the extra money they think they deserve, so they put crap into their ______ scripts that disable your website if you use cloaking; however, you should be able to go through that ______ ______ pathetic little security by typing target="_top" wherever ou link out of your site; I've never tried this ______ since cloaking works for me, but experiment with it and report back because I'm too lazy to go to bed right ______ about now
