SENT TO SHARE THE LOVE OF THE CROSS

Shepherd's Notes
The following is an excerpt of an email I received of a woman who was upset over taking the name of Christmas out of our season. "When I saw a news report the other evening of children being taught new words to a song we've sung for years - "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" - I was saddened to hear "We Wish You a Splendid Holiday." I know now that it's just a matter of time that the "Merry Christmas" greetings will be gone. Look around your town. Notice the "Holiday" greetings and not "Christmas." It's happening right before our very eyes. We've got to get this message out. "Go Tell It On the Mountain . . . that Jesus Christ is Born." Sing it, speak it, be a billboard for our Lord." I agree, we need to speak it, sing it and be a billboard for our Lord. I am as outraged as she is, but whose hurting Christ more, the heathen who want nothing to do with Christ, or the Christians who never speak His name in public the other 11 months of the year. When we stand up for Christ the entire year there may not be a battle to fight come Christmas time. Go tell it on the mountain . . . Pastor Dennis
